Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in the United States is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Test for on-site work in San Diego, California or Grand Forks, North Dakota with a partial hybrid schedule. You will support software across the full development lifecycle.

The role requires a STEM degree and hands-on experience with OO languages, automated testing, CI/CD, and multi-threaded real-time software, plus collaboration with systems and hardware teams. Active U.S. clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related engineering experience or Master's with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile frameworks within the last 3 years.
• Experience with the full SDLC.
• Experience implementing software/scripts in OO languages (C/C++, C#, Java) and Python within the last 3 years.
• Experience with software change control, CI/CD tools and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements allocated to software configuration items.
• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for embedded software.
• Collaborate with software developers and engineers to diagnose and resolve issues across installation, integration, and acceptance testing.
