Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engineer Software - Test to join our team on site with a partial hybrid schedule. The role focuses on software unit and integration testing, test automation, and cross-functional collaboration across software, systems, and hardware teams.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with relevant engineering experience, familiarity with Unix/Windows testing, and the ability to obtain a Security+ certification within six months while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 2 years related engineering experience; or Master’s degree in STEM with entry level experience.
• Experience in integration and testing of software and hardware components in Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of employment; Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform software unit and integration test and test automation on the host environment.
• Work in development and lab environments; ensure proper integration and testing of components in complex systems.
• Perform integration and troubleshooting of software components across multiple networks interfacing with customer SMEs; document for future use.
• Facilitate collaboration with software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and integration/test engineers to diagnose root causes.
• Utilize familiarity with full development life-cycle processes.
• Develop clear and concise detailed technical documentation.
• Submit detailed problem reports for errors found.
