Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care is seeking a Software Test Engineer I to join our Del Mar, CA hybrid team. You will define and execute tests for software products, debug issues, and own select initiatives. You will help build validation plans, automate tests, and collaborate with R&D and QA to ensure quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 0–2 years experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, QA processes, and test plans.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assist with software validation test plans and procedures.
• Automate test plans and contribute to test frameworks/tools selection.
• Collaborate with CI systems to keep tests updated across builds/releases.
• Prepare and review test plan reports including pass/fail evaluations.
• Document software test audits in alignment with test plans.
• Assist engineers in diagnosing and reproducing product failures.
• Identify issues in test plans and propose improvements.
• Time management to meet completion dates and paperwork.
• Record data for test documentation and reporting.
• Review data for compliance and flag anomalies.
• Estimate test efforts for new deliverables.
• Plan and implement test strategies for upgrades.
• Be a contributing member of cross-functional teams (R&D, Support, Quality).
