Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. is hiring a Software Test Engineer I to design and execute tests for our insulin-pump software. You’ll create automated tests, validate builds with CI, and work with R&D, support, and QE to ensure quality.

The role blends office time in Del Mar, CA with remote work and demands strong collaboration. Applicants should have a degree in CS/Engineering or related experience, familiarity with Agile, and skills in JS/Python/C/C#.

Qualifications

• Reads and follows procedures and flow diagrams.
• Communicates clearly within and across teams.
• Coordinates priorities and resources for high-quality work.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (JS, Python, C, or C#).
• Familiar with CI systems and test automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Defines and executes tests of software products per plan.
• Debugs issues and drives to closure with stakeholders.
• Creates and reviews automated test scripts to speed testing.
• Develops software validation test plans and reports.
• Works with CI to keep tests current across builds/releases.
• Verifies test results and documents findings for QA.
• Collaborates with R&D, Tech Support and QE to align tests with specs.
