KNAPP is seeking a Software Systems Engineer I to join our operations team in Kennesaw, GA. The role involves installing and configuring logistics software at customer sites, developing software customizations, and writing SQL queries and reports from the database.

You will work closely with customers and international teams, including Europe, to ensure successful deployments and startups. Requirements include knowledge of C++ or Java, SQL/PL-SQL experience, Linux in a mixed environment, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of C++ or Java development.
• SQL and PL-SQL experience is required.
• Experience with Linux and mixed Linux/Windows environments.
• Scripting languages (Bash, Perl or Python) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructures and logistics workflows.
• Knowledge of OO design patterns (OOA, UML).

Responsibilities

• Install and configure the logistics software at customer sites.
• Develop software customizations and configurations.
• Write queries and reports from the database (SQL).
• Prepare and test software at office and customer sites.
• Collaborate with international teams (Europe) and support customers during startup.
• Provide training and ongoing support to customers.
