Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer in McKinney, TX to design, develop and test advanced AES radar and sensor systems. You will work with cybersecurity teams, software and systems engineers to ensure secure, high-performance deployments of mission-critical platforms onsite.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a strong background in Linux, DevSecOps, and automation using IaC, Docker, and Kubernetes. Relocation may be offered; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (7.x/8.x) including software/hardware installation, system administration, patching, and security

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and implement solutions to optimize infrastructure operations for the AES Product Family.
• Analyze and identify requirements for computer, server, peripheral, network systems supporting mission-critical assets.
• Design, code, test, document, and support systems integration for surveillance and targeting systems.
