Ignite is currently seeking an experienced Software Release Manager to manage and evolve our Atlassian tool suite and Software Engineering Process (SEP). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in administration, support, and customization of the Atlassian tools. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work across teams and effectively support end users.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor, update, and ensure adherence to the organization’s SEP
2. Administer and support Atlassian Cloud tools, including Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd
3. Configure and maintain Atlassian tools to meet business needs and follow established standards
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Atlassian tools with other systems
5. Manage permissions and access control for tools and projects
6. Develop and maintain training materials for tool users and provide training as needed
7. Stay abreast of the latest Atlassian tools and technologies
8. Develop best practices for administering Jira effectively over the long term
9. Provide close daily support to end users
10. Give constructive feedback to team members and set clear expectations
11. Troubleshoot and resolve issues
12. Lead implementations to ensure requested design/technologies meet requirements
13. Manage and audit code repository access and privileges
14. Use custom tools and Bamboo to deploy updated code to Oracle and other databases
15. Guide deployments through development, test, and production tiers
16. Ensure code compliance by managing Fortify access, privileges, and processes

Qualifications:

1. At least 2 years of administering Atlassian tools in a corporate environment
2. Strong proficiency in administration and support activities of Atlassian Suite
3. Proficiency in configuring workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and other Jira components
4. Strong expertise in creating Jira dashboards, queries, and reports
5. Ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) for advanced searches and reporting
6. Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with scrum masters, project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet requirements
8. Proactive, self-motivated, and self-managed

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification such as Jira Administration for Datacenters is a plus.
2. Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows in Jira
3. Experience working with DevOps and Agile processes and transforming them into Jira workflows
4. Experience in building training programs and conducting training for other team members in Atlassian tools

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education Requirements:

1. Requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience or a Master’s degree plus 10 years of experience

Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance
