Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions seeks Software Quality Engineer I–III for a hybrid role with 3 days in the office across listed locations including Lewiston. You will work within the Software Quality Engineering team to assure delivery of high-quality software and services.

Responsibilities include participating in scrum, reviewing requirements, developing and executing tests, reporting results, and mentoring teammates on coverage and best practices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science or related field.
• Experience with one programming language such as Java, Ruby, Python or C# or equivalent.
• 3 years of software QA/testing experience for QE II; 6 years for QE III; ability to write, run and automate tests.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate on project scrum team and defect triage while managing own backlog.
• Review user stories, acceptance criteria, specs, designs, code and tests for quality.
• Develop, automate and execute unit, component and system tests; write test cases with peers.
• Report test results, verify fixes, assess impact of changes and update regression tests.
• Ensure testability, coverage and maintainability meet requirements; mentor teammates on coverage.
• Collaborate with Development to define requirements, design, and implementation ensuring testability and reliability.
• Develop solutions to meet quality, cost and schedule while mitigating risks.
• Use metrics to drive process effectiveness, monitor testing progress and product quality.
• Collaborate on integration and system tests; escalate issues as needed.
