Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking Software Quality Engineers I–III for a hybrid role with three days in the office at offices across multiple cities including Portland. The team ensures the delivery of high quality software and services, with roles spanning entry to senior levels, and opportunities to apply testing strategies across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science or related field.
• 3 years of experience performing software quality and testing for QA role (Engineer II) or 6 years for Engineer III, including 1 year automating tests.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language (Java/Ruby/Python/C#).

Responsibilities

• Participate on project scrum team and defect triage while managing personal work backlog using agile practices.
• Review user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications, software designs, code and tests to ensure quality standards.
• Develop, automate and execute unit, component and system-level tests; write automated and manual test cases with peers to ensure coverage.
• Report test results, submit defects, verify fixes, and assess impact of changes to update regression tests.
• Mentor team members on achieving coverage and improving automated test stability.
• Collaborate with Development to define requirements, design and implementation ensuring testability and reliability.
