Job summary

The Hillman Group in Boulder, CO is seeking a Manager, Software Quality Assurance to lead a QA team and ensure high-quality software releases in an Agile environment. You will define QA strategies, oversee test planning, automate tests, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and drive quality across the SDLC while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of QA leadership or management experience.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks strongly preferred.
• Experience testing web, mobile, enterprise, and integrated systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of Software QA Engineers and Test Analysts.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce software quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Oversee test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting across all testing phases.
• Manage UAT, regression testing, system integration testing, and release validation efforts.
• Develop and execute QA strategies aligned with Agile methodologies.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security, reliability, and usability testing are in project plans.
• Drive test automation initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering to identify quality risks and root causes.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor and communicate quality metrics, trends, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate releases and provide deployment readiness assessments.
• Document, prioritize, track, and resolve defects.
• Support release management activities and end-user documentation.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in testing processes.
