BI Incorporated in Boulder, CO seeks a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst to lead QA activities and ensure delivery of quality software.

You will collaborate with QA Automation and DevOps teams to implement robust testing across projects, including load testing and performance checks.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA, UFT/QTP experience, strong SQL skills, and experience guiding teams through the SDLC in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least four (4) years of professional experience in software quality assurance testing.
• At least one (1) year experience working with Agile Software Development and automation tools.
• United States citizenship required.
• Must live in the United States 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad accepted).
• Proficient with creating and executing Microsoft SQL queries.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MS Windows 2000 or higher.
• At least one (1) year experience with automated testing, including load and performance testing. UFT/QTP experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of testing disciplines and tasks and automated test tools.
• In-depth understanding of web-based testing products.
• Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Experience leading a team comprised of members with varying experience.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels, both written and verbal.
• Excellent analytical skills and commitment to continuous testing improvement.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to perform problem analysis and resolution.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information stored in operational databases.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Software Quality Assurance leads, guides and monitors QA test activities to meet project objectives.
• Assists QA team members in analyzing deliverables to ensure proper test coverage.
• Serves as the primary contact regarding functional and technical system issues for QA team members and management.
• Works closely with QA Automation Engineer to ensure QA automation is implemented and maintained across projects.
• Collaborates with DevOps to ensure automation and monitoring throughout the development cycle.
• Develops and executes test plans and test cases for new products and releases.
• Ensures system and business requirements are met.
• Reviews work agreements to verify scope and testing types based on requirements.
• Manages product defects; re-tests and confirms fixes.
• Attends meetings to provide QA guidance and effort estimates.
• Creates test strategies for major initiatives including resources and environment needs.
• Identifies training needs and creates a plan to address gaps.
• Facilitates knowledge transfers across QA.
• Supports QA by removing hurdles with other departments.
• Keeps current knowledge of QA testing technologies and recommends improvements.
• Reports progress to project manager regularly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
