Job summary
The Hillman Group in Boulder, CO is seeking a Manager of Software Quality Assurance to lead the QA function and deliver high-quality software products. You will drive testing strategies, test automation, and continuous process improvement in an Agile environment, partnering with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities include leading a QA team, establishing QA standards, overseeing test planning and execution, managing UAT and release validation, and advancing quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of Software Quality Assurance/testing experience
- Minimum 2 years of QA leadership/management experience
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with TestRail and Jira
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of Software QA Engineers and Test Analysts
- Establish, maintain, and enforce software quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Oversee test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting across all testing phases
- Manage UAT, regression, system integration testing, and release validation efforts
- Develop and execute QA strategies aligned with Agile software development
- Ensure performance, security, and usability testing are included in project plans
- Drive test automation initiatives to improve quality and coverage
- Collaborate with Software Engineering to identify quality risks and preventative measures
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to validate requirements and acceptance criteria
- Monitor quality metrics, trends, and risks; report to leadership
- Evaluate releases and provide release readiness assessments and deployment recommendations
- Document, prioritize, and track defects; support release management
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for testing processes and product quality
- Coach and develop QA team members through training and performance management
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies
- Support PCI and other standards compliance in testing processes
- Evaluate and adopt emerging QA tools and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
