Job summary

Huckleberry Labs in California is seeking a QA Manager to champion quality across our product suite and ensure smooth, reliable experiences for families. You will lead a globally distributed team of 12 QA engineers, spanning manual and automated testing, reporting to the CTO and owning end-to-end QA strategy and release readiness.

You will build scalable processes, define standards, mentor engineers, and partner with product and engineering to reduce post-release defects, improve test coverage,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of total experience within QA.
• 3+ years of QA management experience with globally distributed teams.
• Excellent people management and coaching abilities.
• Solution-oriented leader for incident management and root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication of quality status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mobile QA expert across manual and automated testing with device/OS matrix strategy.
• Experience reducing post-release defects and hotfix frequency.
• AI-native QA practices and production QA processes using AI.
• Experience designing new QA approaches (shift-left).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a globally distributed team of QA engineers across manual and automated testing.
• Own the go/no-go release readiness decision and manage quality risk.
• Develop and report quality KPIs to leadership and product partners.
• Champion shift-left QA and continuously improve testing processes.
