Job summary

Jobtailor in Long Beach, CA seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to drive a team delivering next-generation automotive firmware. You will shape the development process, ensure high-reliability products, and maintain complete test coverage and traceability.

You will design APIs for core platform services, develop MISRA-C compliant firmware, and mentor engineers while planning sprints, managing priorities, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• 4 years of experience developing embedded software using Embedded C.
• 4 years of experience developing tools and test scripts with Python.
• 4 years of experience building systems using Make or Bazel.
• 4 years of experience using a debugger to diagnose and correct issues in target hardware and host environments.
• 3 years of experience developing software requirements in Jama.
• 3 years of experience developing sprint plans in Jira.
• 3 years of experience developing custom Python tools to generate embedded C code.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
