• Work closely with and assist engineers on various engineering assignments
• Carry out basic work instructions to learn Company fundamentals and new skills
• Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision
• Complete assigned tasks on time
• Gather and assemble data for engineers
• Assist with research in a particular field as needed
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under engineer supervision
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details
• Perform varied tasks to gain familiarity with engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization’s mission, values, and culture
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Engineering student with some progress toward an engineering degree
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a good network
• Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
• Good understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux operating systems
• Some experience with Windows
• Good understanding of multi-threading and multi-processing concepts
• Preferred: experience developing embedded drivers on Linux for TCP/IP, UART, I²C, PCIe, and other interfaces
• Preferred: experience with Git, defect tracking tools preferably Jira, peer code reviews, and Agile methodologies
