Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s Ground Missile Defense team in Huntsville seeks a software integration engineer to interface software components within a complex system of systems. The role focuses on troubleshooting, deployment support and cross-team coordination to ensure mission-ready performance.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with significant experience in software integration, Windows/Linux administration, scripting, and Atlassian toolsets, plus a DoD-style security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience, or higher degrees with fewer years.
• Experience integrating separate software components into a single system.
• Experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
• Experience scripting in Bash, Python and working with Atlassian toolset.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of software components and subsystems within complex environments.
• Troubleshoot software, interface, build, configuration and integration issues.
• Collaborate with software, systems, test and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
• Support software deployments, testing and verification activities.
