Job summary

Lockheed Martin, in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the IDT product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System program. You will perform systems engineering across requirements decomposition, design, integration and test, hardware fault analysis and interfaces, with an emphasis on hardware-software definition in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.

The role requires initiative, the ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results

Qualifications

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Prior experience using DOORS
• Prior experience using Atlassian Tools
• Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices
• Familiar with MBSE and Cameo
• Familiar with automated software requirements testing and analysis

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering: requirements decomposition, system design, integration and test.
• Handle hardware fault analysis and interfaces (mechanical/electrical).
• Define hardware-to-software interfaces for the IDT product team.
• Apply Agile methods using Jira and Confluence to manage backlog.
