Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the Ground Weapons System (GWS) on the Simulation team. You will develop software supporting GWS for the Missile Defense Agency and work in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments.

The role requires a STEM degree and hands-on coding in C++, Python, Go, or MATLAB, plus an active security clearance and willingness to travel up to 10%. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of experience for Bachelors; 0 years for Masters.
• Experience designing and/or implementing software using Object Oriented Programming in languages such as C++, Python, Go, or MATLAB.
• Experience with unit testing or Test Driven Development.
• Must hold a current Final Secret security clearance and be willing to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Simulation team.
• Develop software products that support the design and development of GWS for the Missile Defense Agency.
