Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer for the Ground Weapon System (GWS) in Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to test automation for verification in an Agile setting, building software in a secure, in-person environment as part of the IDT product team.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, strong OOP skills, and experience with Linux, Git, and containerized workloads using Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Rust, Java, Python, and C++.
• Containerization with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency using Git.
• Experience deploying and managing software in a Linux environment (RHEL8 preferred).
• Strong grasp of OOP design principles and patterns.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Build SW products assigned by leadership related to test automation of requirement verification in an Agile environment.
• Support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time as part of the IDT product team.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities; design, develop, test, and debug software per standards.
