Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience standing up, integrating, and operating software and cloud environments (sandboxes, pilot programs, enterprise integration)
Hands-on depth in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), containers, CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling, API integration, infrastructure-as-code, IdAM
Proven ability to conduct rigorous technical evaluations and assess cybersecurity risk and architectural fit in emerging solutions
Experience defining and operating controlled test environments with secure handling of synthetic data
Clear technical writing skills for evaluation reports and leadership audiences
Ability to operate amid ambiguous, fast-shifting priorities in direct-support roles
U.S. citizenship
Ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to AMC CTO as part of digital modernization efforts
Stand up and operate a sandbox to safely evaluate concepts before touching the operational network
Define and run a repeatable evaluation framework assessing feasibility, cybersecurity risk, and architectural fit
Establish transition gates from sandbox to pilot to enterprise adoption or termination
Stand up candidate applications and capabilities, integrate via APIs, test with synthetic data, document findings
Define selection criteria and success measures for technology programs
Lead onboarding and transition of successful programs into enterprise environments
Support transition of technologies to the CIO when appropriate
Define security and access models for testing environments with synthetic data
Produce technical evaluation reports and findings for decision products
Collaborate with Lead Integrator, Senior Enterprise Architect, Analytics Engineer

Job description

Provide direct support to the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Chief Technology Officer as part of an enterprise-wide digital modernization effort
Stand up and operate a controlled, virtualized sandbox to safely evaluate technology concepts before they touch the operational network
Define and run a repeatable technical evaluation framework assessing operational feasibility, cybersecurity risk, and architectural fit
Establish transition gates from sandbox to pilot to broader enterprise adoption or termination
Stand up candidate applications and capabilities, integrate them via APIs, exercise them against realistic synthetic or sanitized data, and document findings
Define selection criteria and success measures for technology programs
Lead technical onboarding and transition of successful technology programs into sustained enterprise environments
Support transition of technologies to the Chief Information Office when appropriate
Define security and access models for testing environments, including procedures for handling synthetic or sanitized data
Produce technical evaluation reports and findings that feed decision products
Work alongside the Lead Integrator, Senior Enterprise Architect, and Analytics Engineer

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
5+ years of hands-on experience standing up, integrating, and operating software and cloud environments — sandboxes, pilot programs, or enterprise integration efforts
Hands-on depth in several of the following: cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP), containers, CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling, API integration, infrastructure-as-code, and identity/access management (IdAM)
Proven ability to conduct rigorous technical evaluations and assess cybersecurity risk and architectural fit in emerging software and hardware solutions
Experience defining and operating controlled test environments, including secure handling of synthetic or sanitized data
Clear technical writing skills, with the ability to produce evaluation reports and findings for both technical and senior-leadership audiences
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively amid ambiguous, fast-shifting priorities in a direct-support role
U.S. citizenship
Ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret security clearance or up to a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
