Job summary

Jobtailor in Alabama seeks a software engineer with 0-3 years of professional experience and an Active Secret clearance to join our DoD/aerospace program. You will design, develop, and integrate features using Java, C++, and Eclipse IDE, while following UI/UX principles and Agile practices.

You will collaborate across architecture discussions, code reviews, and deployment in containerized microservices using Docker, Storybook, RabbitMQ, and modern .NET stacks, in a distributed compute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience/combined education).
• 0-3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Strong experience with at least one of: Java, C++, or the Eclipse IDE.
• Firm understanding of UI/UX design principles and implementation.
• Experience integrating with RabbitMQ, Storybook, Jupyter Notebooks, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), and Digital Agility.
• Experience supporting DoD or aerospace/defense programs desired.
• Experience with OpenSplice software desired.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development practices desired.
• Background in distributed systems, local compute cluster platforms/cloud architectures, and containerized environments such as Docker or Podman desired.
• Knowledge of OSF-G architecture or similar real-time frameworks desired.
• Experience with modern .NET technology stack, including React, NodeJS, TypeScript, and gRPC desired.
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes desired.

Responsibilities
