Job summary

KION Group is seeking an Software Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering organization delivering warehouse automation software for multiple customer projects. You will manage staffing, project priorities, and risk mitigation while ensuring high-quality execution and customer satisfaction.

You will partner with project managers, sales, and solution development to align engineering efforts with customer needs and business goals, while mentoring engineers and shaping the team’s growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years software engineering experience in automation or related industries.
• 3+ years of people management or technical leadership.
• Experience leading software project delivery and multi-project management.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with WCS/WES/WMS or industrial automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering organization supporting warehouse software delivery.
• Oversee staffing and assignment of engineers across projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess risks and schedule impacts.
• Review project health and execution metrics to identify improvements.
• Provide input into project planning and budget forecasts.
