Job summary

KION North America is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our Engineering team, driving cross-functional initiatives and delivering high-quality material handling solutions.

You will manage integrated project plans, coordinate with engineering, product management, and external partners, and pursue Lean improvements while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field is required.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Preferred: CAPM, PMP, or Prince2 certification.
• Experience managing engineering projects.
• ERP knowledge especially SAP.
• Understanding of product development lifecycles.
• Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams.
• Lean methodologies and root-cause analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects, including integrated plans, cost, technical details, resources, budgets, and tooling investments.
• Align customer requirements with internal technical requirements through collaboration with engineering and product management.
• Lead weekly meetings with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to plan and track deliverables.
• Balance detailed work with executive summaries of project requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of PM tools and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Support Lean culture across projects.

• Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to align customer requirements with internal technical requirements.


• Prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to plan and track deliverables.


• Balance both in-depth details and high-level executive summary regarding project specific requirements.


• Drive continuous improvement of project management tools and methodologies.


• Ensure compliance with applicable legal and or safety standards.


• Embrace and help drive the Lean culture.
