Job summary

Regional Management Corporation seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead teams that design, build, and operate our loan application platforms. You will own delivery, uptime, data integrity, and customer experience while guiding engineering, operations, and product partners.

You will drive modern architectures (cloud, microservices, event-driven) and oversee production support, incident response, and platform reliability across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree a plus
• 12+ years of experience, including software engineering and 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams or application support teams
• Hands-on experience supporting production applications, including incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call operations
• Working knowledge of loan origination, servicing, or payments applications
• Strong technical foundation in modern application architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Must pass drug screen and other pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Lead the teams that build, support, and run loan application platforms within the Software Engineering team.
• Develop the next-generation platform using cloud computing on AWS, microservices, event-driven architecture, and diverse databases.
• Partner with product management, operations, and internal clients to capture requirements and deliver cross-functional projects.
• Own production support including on-call rotation, incident response, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
• Define service level objectives (SLOs), improve monitoring, manage releases and disaster recovery testing.
