Grow Your Career. Impact Lives. Shape the Future of Consumer Finance.
At Regional Finance, growth is more than a strategy. It's an opportunity for our people to thrive. Over the past several years, we have expanded significantly, creating new career paths, leadership opportunities, and professional development experiences across our organization.
As a proud NYSE-listed company, we serve more than half a million active customers through a network of 360+ branches across 20 states and a rapidly growing digital platform. With approximately $2.1 billion in net finance receivables, nearly double our position in 2020, our momentum reflects both the strength of our business and the dedication of our team.
If you're passionate about helping people, driven by growth, and excited to contribute to a company transforming the future of consumer finance, we invite you to join our team and build something meaningful with us.
This group builds and runs the technology behind RMC’s consumer lending business, including the loan application, origination, and servicing platforms our branches and customers depend on every day. We want a technology leader who combines solid technical knowledge with a strong focus on uptime, data integrity, and customer experience. You will own the delivery and day-to-day health of these applications, keep them reliable and compliant, and manage our operations teams to improve the way we serve our clients.
Regional Management Corporation (RMC) is seeking an experienced, empathetic, and quality-focused Software Engineering Manager to lead the teams that build, support, and run our loan application platforms within the Software Engineering team.
We are working to develop the RMC’s next-generation platform. We are employing new paradigms such as cloud computing on AWS, lightweight microservices, event-driven architecture, and relational and non-relational databases to deliver elastically scalable, distributed, and highly resilient software services. The Software Engineering Manager role will partner with the digital product management team, branch operations, and other internal clients to understand business inquiries, drive requirements, propose solutions, and deliver multiple cross-functional projects and integrations between different systems. This is a unique opportunity to build and institutionalize a reliable, best-in-class engineering ecosystem on premises or in the public cloud.
You will partner closely with the lead engineers on your team’s technical direction, while owning people leadership, hiring, performance, delivery commitments, and the production health of your applications.
Loan applications: You will own the systems that support the loan lifecycle, from application intake, identity verification, credit bureau and decisioning integrations, and underwriting, through loan booking, servicing, and payments. You will understand how changes to these applications affect branches, customers, compliance, and finance.
Production support: You will lead production support for these applications, including on-call rotation, incident response, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes. You will manage the support queue in ticketing system, keep business stakeholders informed during incidents, and reduce repeat issues over time.
Platform reliability: You will own the reliability of the platform. This includes defining service level objectives (SLOs) for availability and performance, improving monitoring and alerting, reducing incident volume and time to recover (MTTR), managing release and change risk, and planning capacity and disaster recovery testing for business-critical lending systems.
