Job summary

Regional Management Corp. is seeking a Senior Principal Software Development Engineer to lead architecture, development, and modernization of mission-critical FinTech platforms. You will shape long-term tech strategy for lending, payments, and financial operations.

This role requires hands-on leadership, experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and AI-enabled tooling, and a focus on security, compliance, and scalable systems across regulated environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including staff/principal/architect-level roles.
Proven success delivering enterprise FinTech, banking, lending, or payments platforms.
Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the long-term technology strategy for customer-facing and backend financial platforms.
Lead architecture decisions across distributed systems, APIs, event-driven services, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
Architect and deliver high-volume, mission-critical applications across lending, payments, and financial operations.
Mentor senior engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
