Alaska Airlines is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead strategic digital initiatives across our services. You will guide a team of engineers, set priorities, and ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure software that enhances customer experience and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product and design partners, development of talent, and a culture of innovation.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
2+ years of leadership experience.
Strong software and data structure design, development, and architecture experience.
Experience delivering modern software at scale for large customer bases.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with design and product teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of software engineers and establish priorities for design, development, delivery, and support of digital products and technology solutions.
Decide on software engineering practices, technical direction, architecture, development standards, and quality assurance within the engineering function.
Deliver high-quality technology solutions that support business objectives, operational excellence, reliability, and safety.
Drive practices that ensure robust, scalable, reliable, and highly available technology solutions.
Partner with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to input on roadmaps and priorities.
