Thomson Reuters seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Files Orchestration engineering team. You will own the end-to-end customer file orchestration service, including upload, storage, extraction, embedding, indexing, and observability, ensuring reliability and strong API contracts.

You will shape the team into a durable, high-performing unit with clear ownership and an excellent operational posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering with 3+ years of people management.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale enterprise orchestration systems.

Responsibilities

• Own customer file orchestration service end-to-end, including upload, storage, extraction, embedding, indexing, and observability.
• Drive API-first execution with versioned contracts and documented behavior.
• Lead domain decisions on consistency models, delivery guarantees, and state transitions across async boundaries.
• Own the queuing and flow-control architecture with fair queuing, rate limiting, and autoscaling.
• Establish operating rhythms, SLOs, testing, on-call and incident response as core engineering work.
• Build and lead the Files Orchestration team and translate complex trade-offs for product partners.
