Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to anchor ingestion and indexing systems for a high-scale content platform. You will own end-to-end document ingestion, schema governance, and dual-flow pipelines with real-time updates.

Lead architectural decisions, drive zero-downtime deployments, and supervise model operationalization within the pipeline. The role emphasizes full-stack ownership and production-grade reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ingestion pipeline architecture from Kafka streams to parsing, enrichment, embedding, and indexing.
• Architect and implement pluggable, configurable pipeline components (parsers, chunkers, enrichers, indexers).
• Own Protobuf-based document schema and schema registry integration with backward-compatible evolution.
• Design dual-flow ingestion: high-throughput batch and low-latency incremental paths with strong ordering guarantees.
• Lead migration of ingestion infrastructure from OpenSearch to Vespa and define architecture.
