Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union in Michigan seeks a Software Engineering Lead to own the design, development, and lifecycle ownership of a portfolio of software solutions, including digital banking and core systems. You will lead a cross-functional team, set standards, and deliver robust, well-documented code with automated tests.

The role is onsite, hybrid, or remote (must reside in Michigan or Illinois). Occasional travel to East Lansing may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with enterprise level software development and SDLC.
• Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise software solutions.
• Hire, coach, and mentor software engineers.
• Define standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product and project teams to ensure quality solutions.
• Write robust, testable code and automated tests to ensure reliability.
• Document system designs and decisions for knowledge sharing.
• Support on-call rotations and maintain service levels.
