Job summary

GE Vernova's Critical Infrastructure Communications Engineering Internship offers hands-on software development experience within the CIC team. The role runs Jan–Aug 2027, with a 40-hour work week, and focuses on contributing to next-generation product lines while learning from mentors.

You will apply Java, C/C++, Python, Linux, and Git in real projects, following GE's DevOps and CI/CD practices to deliver customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or IT.
• GPA requirement: minimum 3.0 cumulative.
• Experience with software development practices and revision control (Git).
• Familiarity with Python scripting is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Use Java, C or C++ to design, develop and test software.
• Integrate GE Cloud DevOps tools into the GE MDS CI/CD process (e.g., PythonRobotFramework).
• Follow engineering processes, practices, and procedures.
• Report progress to project management and help with task prioritization.
• Learn and apply software development techniques for disciplined design and rigor.
