Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a software engineering intern to join the Critical Infrastructure Communications (CIC) team in the United States. You will learn our product portfolio, contribute to a next-generation product line, and assist with subsystem design and development.

Responsibilities include coding in Java, C or C++, integrating GE Cloud DevOps tools into CI/CD, and following established engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT.

Responsibilities

• Use Java, C or C++ to design, develop and test software.
• Integrate GE Cloud DevOps tools into the GE MDS CI/CD process (e.g., Python robotframework).
• Follow engineering processes, practices, and procedures.
• Report progress and status to project management.
• Estimate time to implement features and resolve issues for prioritization.
• Work on an assignment/project within engineering to stretch your learning.
• Be highly self-motivated and work under minimal supervision.
• Apply academic knowledge to deliver customer outcomes and improve operations.
