Job summary

GE Vernova is offering an internship with the Critical Infrastructure Communication (CIC) Engineering Team in Rochester, NY. You will learn our product portfolio, contribute to a next generation product line, and work on sub-systems within software development.

You must be enrolled in a full-time engineering/CS program, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and have experience with Git, Python, Linux and network concepts. Relocation and housing allowances are available; the position runs Jan–Aug 2027 with a

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT.
• Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
• Experience in software development and revision control, such as git/GitHub.
• Experience in python script development.
• Experience with Linux and Windows scripting.

Responsibilities

• Learn our product portfolio and become a developer on one of our product lines.
• Be part of an active development team working on a next generation product line.
• Assist with designing/developing sub-systems and features in Software Development.
• Use Java, C or C++ to design, develop and test software.
• Integrate GE Cloud DevOps tools into GE MDS CI/CD process.
