Job summary

GE Vernova invites driven students to join the Critical Infrastructure Communications Engineering Team as interns for Jan–Aug 2027. You will learn the product portfolio, contribute to a next generation product line, and co-design subsystems while gaining hands-on software development experience across Java, C/C++, and Python in a collaborative environment.

Successful candidates will have 3.0 GPA, Linux/Windows experience, and familiarity with Git/GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in a technical field of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT.
• Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA (no rounding).
• Experience in software development and revision control (git/GitHub).
• Experience with Python scripting and Linux/Windows environments.
• Able to follow structured software design processes and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn GE Vernova's product portfolio and become a developer on a product line.
• Be part of a development team working on a next generation product line.
• Assist with designing/developing sub-systems and features in Software Development.
