Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking Software Development Interns in Utah to join a collaborative team building enterprise platforms and deployment tools across public and private clouds. Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or a related field.
• Passion for technology and writing code to create solutions and fix problems.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers, and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language.
• Automation mindset to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Familiarity with AWS and public cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts (Scrum and Kanban).
• Interest in building secure, scalable applications and measuring performance.
• Familiarity with AI tooling for development, testing, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Developing automation for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management across environments.
• Documenting new development, procedures, or test plans as needed.
• Help establish and follow security and engineering standards.
• Build tools and pipelines to enable CI/CD across all environments.
• Automate code packaging, deployment, and configuration management processes.
• Collect feedback from delivery and operations teams to optimize throughput and quality.
• Monitor system and service performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
