Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. invites software development interns to join our team across Cox Enterprises, Cox Communications, and Cox Automotive.

You will learn by working on enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, security, and automation across public and private clouds. You will contribute to CI/CD tooling, documentation, and best practices while collaborating with mentors and senior leaders to deliver quality software.

Qualifications

• Currently a college student pursuing a BA/BS degree in computer science or a related field.
• A passion for technology, reverse engineering and writing code to create solutions and fix problems.
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Experience in writing code and scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
• An eye to identify and resolve inefficiencies through automation.
• Familiarity with AWS and Agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban).
• Interest in building secure, scalable applications and measuring performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage enterprise platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Build tools to automate tasks and maintain infrastructure on clouds.
• Document development procedures and test plans as needed.
• Follow best practices, security and engineering standards.
• Create pipelines for CI/CD and automate packaging and deployment.
• Gather feedback from delivery and operations teams to improve throughput and quality.
• Monitor system and service performance across environments and escalate as needed.
• Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
