Cox Enterprises is seeking Software Development Interns to join our team and learn from experienced engineers. You will develop and manage enterprise platforms, automation, and deployment pipelines while gaining exposure to security and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Currently a college student pursuing a BA/BS degree in computer science or related field.
• Passion for technology, reverse engineering and writing code to create solutions and fix problems.
• Collaborative attitude and clear communication skills in group settings.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Experience writing code and scripts in at least one high-level language.
• Automation mindset to reduce manual work.
• Familiarity with AWS and public cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts (Scrum and Kanban).
• Interest in building secure and scalable applications and measuring performance.
• Familiarity with AI tools to assist in production, testing, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning and procedures across environments.
• Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Contribute to security and engineering standards and best practices.
• Build tools and pipelines for CI/CD across environments.
• Automate code packaging, deployment, and configuration management.
• Solicit feedback from delivery and operations teams to improve throughput and quality.
• Monitor system and service performance and escalate issues as needed.
• Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
