Job summary

Check Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, integration, deployment, testing, and sustainment of software for unmanned systems and mission technologies. You will work across flight systems, autonomous navigation, sensor integration, and mission-planning platforms.

The role involves embedded device software, ground-control interfaces, and complete lifecycle support from concept to field deployment, in a fast-paced engineering environment with a SECRET/TS-SCI eligible

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development or 7+ years of experience without a degree.
• Experience with C, C++, Python development.
• Experience with embedded systems and software integration.
• Active SECRET clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Experience with MAVLink and unmanned systems software.

Responsibilities

• Support development, integration, deployment, testing, and sustainment of software for unmanned systems and mission technologies.
• Develop software for embedded devices, flight-control systems, and operator interfaces.
• Work across the software lifecycle from concept through field deployment and sustainment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support Group 1 and Group 2 unmanned systems.
