Job summary

Check Defense is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and sustainment of unmanned systems. You will design, model, fabricate, integrate, and evaluate mechanical solutions for Group 1 and 2 UxS to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Robotics/Aero Eng.
• Active SECRET clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• 3+ years hands-on professional engineering experience.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Support design, integration, fabrication, testing, and sustainment of Group 1/Group 2 unmanned systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, technicians, operators, and Government stakeholders.
• Leverage CAD tools, rapid prototyping, fabrication, and field testing to deliver solutions.
• Design and develop launch and recovery mechanisms for UxS as needed.
• Incorporate material properties and environmental considerations into designs.
• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, and EMC analyses as required.
• Prepare engineering documentation and fabrication drawings.
