Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer for a role based in Hollywood, MD (St. Mary’s County) working on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems within an Agile Scrum environment.

The position requires DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance, strong C# and/or Java skills, Windows experience, CI/CD in Bamboo/Jenkins, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver critical software for national security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with less than 2 years.
• DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance and SAP clearances.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience as a Scrum Master and OO design in C# or Java.
• Experience with Windows technologies and test procedure development.
• Experience with test events coordination and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, bug-free delivery.
• Set up and deploy Development, Test, and Build environments.
• Create and update Windows installers; install, test and verify software products.
• Support software builds, cross-functional scrum collaboration and customer interfaces.
• Define automated test strategies and write related tests and procedures.
