Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer in Manhattan Beach, CA to work on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems. The role focuses on designing, developing, and validating software across CI/CD pipelines within a cross-functional Scrum team.

The ideal candidate has experience with C# or Java, Windows technologies, and automated testing, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. On-site work is required in Manhattan Beach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with relevant experience or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Proficiency in C# and/or Java and OO design.
• Experience with Windows technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and debug applications software and systems.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable delivery.
• Set up Dev/Test/Build environments and Windows installers.
• Develop and verify software through test plans and procedures.
• Support cross‑functional scrum and customer interfaces.
• Ensure software quality with automated testing strategies.
• Collaborate on requirements, interfaces, and deployment strategies.
