Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration seeks a Software Engineer to join the C2BMC team in Huntsville, AL. You will design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software within an Agile environment supporting Regional Applications.

The position emphasizes translating requirements and SysML diagrams into robust software, participating in the full SDLC, and collaborating with systems engineering and test teams to ensure reliable, mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience; or Master's with 1+ year; or 6+ years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree.
• Current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on resume, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software in Java/J2EE to support Regional Applications within the C2BMC program.
• Work within an Agile team environment to implement new features and resolve complex problems for operational missile defense missions.
• Translate requirements and SysML diagrams into robust, maintainable software components.
• Apply established software engineering practices including coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and version control.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, integration, test, and deployment.
• Provide technical support for systems software, including problem resolution and performance optimization.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and configure software in development, integration, and operational environments.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, integration, test, and operations to resolve issues and improve reliability.
