BCT LLC is seeking a Software Engineer, Level 3, with an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly. The position is located at the National Business Park in Maryland and requires strong Linux, scripting, and database skills along with experience in testing hardware and software for large data systems.

The role involves SAFe practices, test plan execution, REST API testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to verify system requirements and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 14+ years of experience preferred for the Level 3 role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Comfortable with Linux/Unix CLI and scripting.
• Experience with database querying and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement testing scripts and strategies, including automated tests.
• Review HPC system documentation and develop code to test and validate requirements.
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Test and validate HPC systems independently per test plans.
• Participate in SAFe Agile activities and daily stand-ups.
• Use Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot and automate testing.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze test data across platforms.
• Track, document, and report defects using JIRA/Confluence or similar tools.
• Contribute to REST API integration and testing for hardware systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure verification standards are met.
