Job summary

BCT LLC seeks a Software Engineer, Level 3, with an active TS/SCI w/ FS Poly. This role is based at the National Business Park and involves testing hardware and software within large data systems.

You will design test scripts, validate system requirements, and collaborate across teams in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills (Python, Java, or C++), Linux familiarity, and experience with test automation, databases, and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) with significant experience.
• Proficient in Python, Java or C++, and Linux CLI.
• Experience with test automation, REST APIs, and database queries.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement testing scripts and strategies, including automated test execution and data analysis.
• Review HPC system documentation and develop code to validate requirements.
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Independently test and validate HPC systems per test plans.
• Participate in SAFe activities (planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives).
• Use Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot and automate tests.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze test data (e.g., Splunk).
• Track defects using JIRA/Confluence or similar tools.
• Integrate and test REST APIs related to hardware systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure verification standards.
