Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a Test Engineer Level 2 with active TS/SCI with POLY to join our team in Maryland. You will independently test HPC systems, design testing strategies, automate testing, and analyze data using SQL and Splunk.

You’ll participate in SAFe ceremonies and collaborate across teams to ensure requirements are met. Strong Linux CLI skills and Python/Bash scripting are essential, along with defect tracking in JIRA.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Statistics or related field; five (5) years additional TE experience may substitute for a degree.
• Ability to develop test cases from system requirements.
• Experience with Linux command-line interface and file systems, permissions, and process management.

Responsibilities

• Independently test and validate HPC systems per test plans to ensure requirements are met.
• Design, develop, and implement testing strategies including automated test execution and data analysis.
• Participate in SAFe activities: planning, stand-ups, demos and retrospectives.
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Use Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot, run tests, and automate testing.
• Develop complex queries and analyze test data across databases (SQL, Splunk).
• Track, document, and report defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Review HPC docs and interpret requirements to guide system testability.
