Job summary

BCT LLC, located at the National Business Park, seeks a Software Engineer Level 3 to advance testing for HPC systems. The role requires hands-on scripting, test automation, and data analysis across Linux environments, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and participation in SAFe rituals.

The ideal candidate has strong Python/Java/C skills, experience with Splunk, REST APIs, and version control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 14+ years of experience required in software engineering and testing.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or C and Linux/Unix command line.
• Experience building and executing automated tests and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of databases, Splunk, and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, version control and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement testing scripts and strategies including automated test execution.
• Review HPC system documentation and develop code to test and validate requirements.
• Collaborate with team to create and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Independently test HPC systems per test plans and report results.
• Participate in SAFe activities: planning, standups, demos, retrospectives.
• Utilize Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot and automate testing.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze test data across databases and Splunk.
• Track SW defects using JIRA, Confluence or similar tools.
• Contribute to Rest APIs testing related to hardware; work with cross-functional teams.
