Job summary

BCT LLC seeks a Test Engineer Level 2 to join our team in Maryland. The ideal candidate will test and validate HPC systems, develop testing strategies, and automate tests using Python and Bash.

You will participate in SAFe ceremonies, collaborate across engineering teams, and analyze test data from SQL databases and Splunk to improve system testability and reliability for our national security missions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field; five (5) years of additional TE experience may substitute.
• Ability to develop test cases from system requirements.
• Experience with Linux CLI and understanding of file systems, permissions, and process management.

Responsibilities

• Independently test and validate HPC systems per test plans.
• Design, develop, and implement testing strategies, including automated test execution and data analysis.
• Participate in SAFe activities: planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives.
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Utilize Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot, run tests, and automate testing.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze test data across SQL and Splunk.
• Track, document, and report defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Review HPC system documentation to provide guidance on testability.
