Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a Test Engineer Level 2 with TS/SCI w/ Poly to join our team in Maryland. The candidate will independently test HPC systems, design testing strategies, and automate where possible.

Collaboration with team members in SAFe ceremonies will be essential, along with strong Linux and scripting skills used to analyze test data and resolve defects. The role requires five years of relevant experience, a BA/BS in a scientific field, and the ability to create test cases from system

Qualifications

• 5+ years in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Statistics (5 years TE substitution allowed).
• Ability to develop test cases from system requirements.
• Experience with Linux CLI, file systems, permissions, and process management.

Responsibilities

• Independently test and validate HPC systems per test plans.
• Design, develop, and implement testing strategies including automation.
• Participate in SAFe activities (planning, daily stand-up, demos, retrospectives).
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Use Linux CLI and scripting (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot and automate testing.
• Develop complex queries and analyze test data across databases (SQL, Splunk).
• Track and report defects using defect tracking systems (JIRA).
• Review HPC docs and interpret requirements for testability.
