Job summary

BCT LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Test Engineer 3 with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The role focuses on designing testing postures/frameworks across software and hardware domains to support cross-functional teams and testing efforts.

You will develop automated test frameworks, create test cases, identify defects, and participate in agile ceremonies. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of testing experience and proficiency in Python, Java, or C#, plus strong Linux CLI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• If the degree is not in the STEM field, must have an additional 5 years of Testing for a total of 13 years.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Comfortable with Linux/Unix command line interface and command execution.
• Experience designing and developing automated test frameworks from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to understand project requirements and user stories.
• Understand HW Intricacies to help prioritize testing based on risks.
• Design and prototype automated test frameworks for applications and REST APIs.
• Analyze requirements and generate test use cases.
• Identify, analyze, and report defects.
• Verify fixes and track issues to resolution.
• Perform manual testing when necessary to supplement automated testing efforts.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, and retrospectives.
