Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a student intern from January to August 2027 to join the software development team. You will learn the product portfolio and contribute to next generation product lines using Java, C, or C++. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, CI/CD exposure, and collaboration with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, CS, Computer Engineering, or IT.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
• Experience in Linux/Windows administration.
• Experience in software development and revision control, such as Git/GitHub.
• Familiarity with software design principles and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Use Java, C or C++ to design, develop and test software.
• Integrate GE Cloud DevOps tools into GE MDS CI/CD process (e.g., Python robotframework).
• Follow engineering processes, practices, and procedures.
• Report progress and status to project management.
• Estimate time to implement features and resolve issues for task prioritization.
• Work on assignments/projects to stretch learning and skills; work with minimal supervision.
